Jordan Pier began his musical career at age 9 tooting away on a shiny, new, school supplied, used alto saxophone. The passion of the woodwind continued until age 15 wherein the seductress that is the guitar lured Jordan into its grasp.
Jordan roared with the affordable, yet fashionable Washburn Lyon series, continuing to learn theory and gain technical playing ability before ultimately deciding to enroll in a musical college. Jordan founded, produced and wrote music for several bands in the time spanning his brief college career…and ultimately the inception of Farewell Redemption in 2004.
Putting together full band situations always proved difficult, so Jordan adapted a style of writing and recording that allowed to him produce quality tracks without having to recruit a full band. Working with engineers to craft electronic beats, then layering multiple acoustic and electric guitar tracks with keyboards, bass and effects allowed Jordan to personalize the musical composition, maintain the vision and make progress. That style of production continues today.
Jordan’s influences are varied and encompass a wide range of music. Nine Inch Nails, Marilyn Manson and Ministry influenced Jordan’s electronic production style, while artists like Pink Floyd, Fleetwood Mac, Vertical Horizon and Pearl Jam displayed just what can be “said” with a guitar. All of the above and many others lent to they way he plays and writes today. |
